We all know that game day is only as good as the party you’re at. With football’s biggest day right around the corner, we enlisted the help of the Insta-famous Brunch Boys to give us five tips to help make us the ultimate hosts. And you can still shop our picks of the best pieces for entertaining!
1. Don’t be afraid to order in.
There are a ton of restaurants offering some great party specials for all you people like me that might feel overwhelmed by having to cook and prepare a ton of food for your friends.
2. Puppy dress up
If you have a dog, please dress them up in a football jersey, because nothing is cuter or more entertaining! If it’s a bad game, than you can at least spend the majority of your night putting up Insta-story after Insta-story of cuteness overload.
3. Elevate your beer
Football and beer go pretty much hand in hand, but why not take it to the next level with some beer cocktails? One of my favorite drinks is a Michelada which is kind of like a Bloody Mary, but instead of vodka you use beer. It’s refreshing and delicious.
4. Bacon is best.
Every hors d’oeuvre is made better with bacon! Think for one second about your favorite hors d’oeuvres — is it wrapped in bacon? It probably is, and if it isn’t, it will become much better wrapped in bacon! The possibilities are endless [with] dates, scallops, chicken, shrimp, etc.
5. Say cheese.
Don’t go simple with your cheese plate. Sure, you could just get whatever standard cheese plate your super market is selling pre-packaged, but that’s so boring! Go through your cheese section and really pick out some amazing and different stuff. Some of my favorites are gjetost, cranberry goat cheese, and Stilton.
